Re: Question about Tutorials

Hi dudes,

I usually avoid killing anyone, as long as my own life is not at immediate stake smile

okay... what was the question...? Ah, yeah... right, questions about tutorials and PG location. (sorry, bit sleepy...)

For tutorials, a sticky thread could do the trick, I'd say.

For PG location, I have to check a couple of things, to see what can be done in terms of access and user-groups; I'll keep you up.

Cheers,

Scalino

Re: Question about Tutorials

thanks for the time you have taken, alex.

I am more than willing to start the PG thing here in The Lab.  Still, though, I have no idea what to start with.... Do I log in as "Captain Kirk" and say hello and then see what happens?  I don't know if I am missing something here....

I believe I am at intermediate level.  Since this last month I have pretty much slept when I wanted to, eat a very low GI diet (over a year already), have done tons of mind maps (fun! but not sure how they help outside of class note taking), and find myself in quite surprising control of the relaxation response (except when I see my ex boyfriend who is somewhat of an addiction I still dont quite understand), and in general I feel quite better than ever and I mean this sincerely.

A lot of the changes I might just say it has to do with autosuggestion, but that is in no way to speak lowly of the process.  I personally have been quite active in studying neurology as it pertains to chronic pain (I am a therapist) and the the science behind chronic pain all comes from people like Ramachandran and Butler and Mosely and Le Doux etc... and if there is one thing that chronic pain science is all about it's brain plasticity.

Modeling is great too.  I am a performance artist and actor and have always been a mimic.  But modeling takes it to another level than usual in the performing arts.  Doing modeling is like living the art, it isnt a performance, it is actually an interaction.

Ok, I have said enough.  To summarize, I just wanted to sort of say that I dont think I am such a beginner, I have like somebody else on this forum said before, certain experience in self-exploration (goo?), and so I would hope that now that I have intergrated all 9 tutorials into my life quite well, I would like to move on to intermediate level.

yours truly, daniel (sirhinojo)

Re: Question about Tutorials

I need to add something.  The thing about the "addiction to my ex boyfriend", I do understand it...  I even did a mind map about it... and it is about a very very very deeply ingrained archetype that he represents, the "BAD BOY".  and although I see the so called pattern clearly, I am still fighting to change it.  I can MANAGE a lot better, i.e. sentiment wiping, but I have to do a lot of daily constant repetition.

Anyway, I dont know if this is too personal.  But I thought that this example might help make more concrete what I meant in the last post about believing that I am at an intermediate level and that this includes awareness of my serious weaknesses as well.

Yes! Yes! Yes!!  Real life in reality is the path, the tutorials are only maps and guides for bits of the path. Beware of mistaking any map for the territory on which you are actually treading; the last time I did that in real life, I was staring so hard at the map I fell in a ditch that wasn't on it   :  )

This is one of the first bits of intermediate NH stuff -carving out the stereotypes from the archetypes. Almost everything we've been told about unconscious archetypes is right off the mark. But I'm digressing...the important thing is as you say understanding. Addictions occur with things, places, people and behaviors. In behaviors they're bad habits like attachments that really are as hard to give up as some reknowned chemical substances  :  )

Association has all the same unfortunate effects it does for an alcoholic or a crack addict. The real secret is what you replace them with  :  )  because the things that draw our attention to others are things we need to improve in ourselves.

Well that's the best incentive for what I write next then, as I don't know about you but waiting ages for things I want to learn gets right up my nose  :  )

Re: Question about Tutorials

Hi dudes,
Re: having a dedicated forum about tutorials?

Originally one of the FAQ sections was set up for this -it could be useful if we put tutorial questions in there after they are covered in the forums? Names can be removed.
