Buying tech

Dudes!

I get overwhelmed by consumer choices, ESPCIALLY when it comes to technology, gadgets and stuff.

I want to get an EEG and a GSR that attach to my old G4 Mac.  Ideally it would include HR, BP electrodes.  As a beginner I don't think I need anything too fancy.  Just the basics to get the hang of using biofeedback.

I am sorry to burden you all with such questions.  Maybe one of you has an easy pointer in the right direction?

Thank you

Daniel

Re: Buying tech

Hey dude, i'm thinking to buy in the near future some devices too. (still thinking how it will cost me because i'm not from USA).

I have this two in mind

http://www.emotiv.com/

http://www.neurosky.com/

With the first one i think now you can read EGG too

There are some device that has an all-in-one solution? (EEG+GSR+Heart Pulse, etc bio+neuro?)

I'm really interesting in a good biofeedback device, because the last weeks i think i'm getting a nasty "snapback" i'm expericing anxiety, i detect it very easy because it signal a weird sensation in my stomach that can last 30min/1h. So is a priority to me to know how can i overcome that sensation without the need to do mindfulness meditation or moderate/intense aerobic exercise (two of the stuff that work for me to relax and probably tigger the relaxation response).

Cheers

Re: Buying tech

question for sirhinijo:
Is it vital that it should interface with the Mac or would a stand-alone unit do?

Other info: There's a mind tech guide coming in tutorial 7, if you dudes can just be patient for a few more days!  :  )
Best,
AR
