Switching to free OS - Phase I

Hi dudes,

Yeah, believe it or not, I'm posting this on my first "Ubuntu" Linux OS, and I must admit installation was just flawless and brilliantly handled.

Actually, it is the Kubuntu 10.10 variant for those who would be interested.

The site looks really cool in the default web browser (Rekonq), I've just to find some fonts cause I only got basic ones. But with the proper fonts, it's gonna be something... smile

And I still can't see vids anywhere, must install some browser's plugin I guess...

Hi dude,
Having maintained a Windows-Free Zone for some time, Ubuntu seems to have been hassle-free for me. I'm naive enough not to have expected anything different with regard to viewing the site etc, and sure enough I haven't, but to be honest it never occured to me that anything may not work  LOL  :  )  ...Now I'll have to go try out vids etc to make sure I got everything working!

Thats a lot of negations for a small phrase ain't! Processor bogged down to confusion.

May I suggest OpenBSD as your next stage before the final one: writing your own from scratch, hardware included.
